Eleanor works with businesses around the world to help them understand where they are on their sustainability journeys and plot their next steps. She is passionate about commercialising innovation to achieve sustainability at scale, particularly at the intersection of big data and energy.
She is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins. Prior to founding IEC, she worked for Constellation New Energy in the United States and BP in the United Kingdom. She has experience at all stages of the energy value chain in Europe and North America.
When not at work, she can be found out trail running, wild swimming or curled up with a good book.
Sarah has worked in the energy industry for over twenty years, starting her career at United Utilities after graduating from UMIST with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
Her most recent corporate role was with BP, where she spent 12 years as Head of Market Analysis for European Gas & Power and Global LNG within the gas trading division.
Whist at BP, Sarah was a member of the LNG leadership team which set business strategy, tracked performance targets, people development and long-term origination strategy. The LNG business grew significantly and is a corner stone of BP’s net zero transition strategy.
As a NED, Sarah’s involvement is in an advisory capacity - attending quarterly board meetings, helping with industry jargon and recruitment.
Sarah is also a mentor at the Energy Institute, where she is a Fellow and works with the Educational Development Trust helping ensure quality careers advice is delivered in local schools. She practices yoga, reads a lot and follows Welsh rugby with a passion.
